I really would like you to know that House Manager and his family were a tremendous help to us. They were extremely helpful throughout our trip and made it even better. Villa Gardenia is amazing and they work extremely hard at maintaining its beauty and cleanliness. The dinner that they provided was the highlight of our trip – delicious and tremendous for our family.

Our stay at the Gardenia August-September, 2017 was amazing. What made it most amazing was the house manager and their families. They made us feel like family visiting from afar. They keep the villa looking so beautiful and comfortable.

We've been helped with making restaurant reservations and in getting our group of 8 around by taxis and shuttles. We also enjoyed an authentic Italian meal and pizza party prepared at villa.

We are now sharing the experience of our stay at this classic Italian villa in the mountain and we sure hope to return sometime soon.

Thank You for the house managing service and Ville in Italia for making this place available for those who wish to have a true Italian experience.

Gardenia is a great mountain side facility(very, very spacious, well maintained, engulfed in gardens, flowers and separate pictorial setting buildings overlooking the Mediterranean). Loved the idea that our 3 families had their privacy and had the pool, the lounge, and kitchen areas to eat and get together. Website pictures don’t do it justice. The key-holders were great from maintaining the villa, preparing some of the meals we had at the Villa, to offering advice where to go and setting up arrangements. Like having a private concierge on premise; invaluable to making our visit so full and yet so enjoyable. Their services were a major compliment and asset to our stay and touring the Amalfi Coast which we enjoyed immensely. Best vacation we ever had; could not have had a better way to celebrate our 50th Anniversary with our Children and Grandchildren.

Thank-you for the request. Our feedback can only be in superlatives - our son-in-law, who has stayed in a number of villas with pools over the years said that Gardenia was the best one he had ever stayed in. We particularly liked how the bedrooms were independent of each other though all en suite, and each had a charm of its own, filled with personal items/books/furniture/artifacts reflecting the owners' tastes. There were unusual touches such as the corridor murals reflecting a Pompeian villa, the stone of the external wall forming part of the kitchen, the various discrete spots where one could sit and enjoy a drink or some peace and quiet. Each bedroom had extra beds in case of a family sharing, which was handy as the 4 grandchildren decided to bunk in together and had a marvelous time doing this. And the flowers!! Everywhere it was a riot of colour, white bougainvillea draping over the pool, purple bougainvillea around the pool sitting area, pots of geraniums and other plants on the steps and a pear once fell into the pool just in front of me. The next day there were figs aplenty.
I must mention Vincenzo and Sara - Vincenzo kept the pool clean (a major task with everyone in it for hours on end and blossoms floating around) and the grounds immaculate as well as organizing 3 dinners in Positano for us together with transportation back and forth. He also made pizza for us all, with enough left over for lunch the next day. And Sara, who kept us tidy and cooked a scrumptious 4-course meal for us ably served by her children Alessandro and Rosella - Rosella made a lovely dessert for us. They were helpful in so many ways.
For future visitors : there is NO parking in Positano and very little in Sorrento, so there really is no need for a car, though we drove to the supermarket outside of Castellamare and to Pompeii. Taking taxis would have been a cheaper option.
We loved the villa and have not stopped talking about it since. Glorious!

Our too short stay at Villa gli Ulivi was a wonderful experience for all eight of us.
The entire experience was great beginning with your most helpful guidance. I truly appreciated your prompt answers to my many questions pertaining to securing the property as well as your help getting us from the airport to the villa.
The Villa was spectacular. The views from the various patios were dazzling. The well kept property, the clean rooms and pool were also much appreciated.
And though we decided not to rent a car the taxi service to Positano and various restaurants in the area was prompt and convenient.
Knowing we would be tired and not yet familiar with the area we opted to have the chef cook for us the first night we arrived. And we were so happy we did. She prepared a feast for us that evening. She is a marvelous cook. It was so awesome that we had her cook another dinner for us as well as make pizza for us on yet another evening in the wood fired pizza oven on the property.
The caretataker came by more than once each day to care for the beautifully kept property and pool. I very much miss our early morning coffee together.
So attached did we become to the villa staff in the brief week we were there, that we found ourselves quite teary eyed upon leaving.

We had an amazing stay at Gardenia. The photos absolutely do not do the place justice. The villa is about 3km from Positano, built into the cliff.
The house almost blends in with the rocks and vegetation and we love how it was built on several levels because of the steepness of the mountain it is on. The rooms are all very spacious and there are a lot of common areas to enjoy. We spent the most time around the pool and kitchen, and it was a nice way for the family to bond during our stay. The kitchen itself is partially carved into the mountain, so some walls are actually the rock face of the mountain. super special! Host's villa helpers are also very prompt and responsive. There is daily mandatory cleaning for a fee, but it is totally worth it.
We also had them cook for us one evening while we dined by the pool. Truly marvellous. Would recommend to anyone!

We had a nice holiday in Italy. There were lots of positives about the villa.
The size of our master bedroom was fantastic, the air conditioning great too.
We also loved the size of the kitchen so that we could cook comfortably, and there were lots of lovely places to sit around the place and relax and enjoy the sun, or shade.
Villa caretakers were all helpful, kind and basically wonderful people. The lady cooked a amazing meal for us the first night, food that lasted three days! She also did a great job keeping the villa clean and properly serviced.
The views from the top deck were spectacular and it was so nice to eat up there looking out over the water.

This past summer, we had a wonderful stay at Gardenia. We spent a very busy week in Rome prior to our arrival at the villa and we were ready for a slower pace. The location was just breathtaking and we were pleasantly surprised by the accomodations. The caretakers met us upon arrival and treated us like family the entire week. They took us on a tour of the villa and grounds, prepared a wonderful homemade pizza feast and gave us helpful hints about restaurants, parking and sites to see.

Since we had 2 families and some college-aged students, the accommodations were perfect. We were all on the same property but everyone had their own personal space. My husband and I stayed in the Master Bedroom and it was such an indulgence especially after our tiny apartment in Rome. The pool was also a wonderful addition. Although the water was cold, we were all in it daily.

I took many lovely pictures of the Villa and even made a video of our entire trip.

Thank you for all your help (and patience!) as we planned our family vacation. It was a once in a life-time adventure and we had a grand time. The villa was definitely a highlight!

I want to tell you how much we enjoyed our stay at Gardenia. I think
everyone thought it was our family vacation ever. Key-holder is
just wonderful, as is her uncle and brother. Her cooking is
fabulous, better than any restaurant we ate in, and his brother pizzas were heavenly. The villa is a beautiful place.
Please thank the owner and key-holder and let her know how important she was to our experience there.

We had a great time on the Amalfi Coast, but the most memorable part of the trip was the lovely Gardenia and its keyholders. WE LOVED IT!! They were so accommodating and made us feel at home. We had a meal one evening cooked by villa staff which was the highlight meal of the trip, and another evening they made pizza for us in the wood fired stove that was soooooooo delicious. We had a great trip and your directing us to this property was a major reason.

Please let the owner know how much we loved the villa and what great hosts they were.

We had really best vacation with Villa in Italy. The owners of Gardenia are friendly and kindly for us, we were very appreciated for their regular care and contacts. The house is old, clear and interesting for the guests as well as the autentic house. It is the good location and good facilities.
We will recommend your site to book villa or apartments in Italy and will book something else for my family
